ZJQ Submersible Slurry Pump

The ZJQ submersible slurry pump is a hydraulic machine in which the motor and the water pump are coaxially submerged into the medium.

This series of products is designed and manufactured by absorbing advanced technology.

In addition to the main impeller, a set of stirring impellers are added to the bottom of the pump, which can spray the deposited sludge into turbulent flow. The pump can achieve high-concentration transportation without auxiliary devices.

The operating reliability of the unique sealing device greatly extends its service life. The electrode adopts overheat protection, and various protection devices such as near-water detection can be added according to user requirements, which can operate safely under severe working conditions.

Slurry Pump

Generally, a pump suitable for conveying suspended solids in a liquid (water) is called a slurry pump. At present, it is one of the indispensable equipment in each technological process of beneficiation and coal preparation plants.

Type HS, AH and M pumps are cantilevered, horizontal, slurry pumps. They are designed for handle abrasive, high density slurries in the metallurgical, mining, coal, power plant, building material and other industrial departments. The pumps of this type also may be installed in multistage series.

The slurry pump adopts double shell structure, Double-pump casing-structure is safe and reliable. Its outside pump-casing bears pressure, the inside pump-casing bears wear and abrasion. Meanwhile, double-pump casing structure can save cost and make easy maintain by just changing the worn internal parts.

Non Clog Submersible Sludge Slurry Water Pumps

Slurry Pumps primarily consist of a single rotor and double stators. When the rotor turns inside the stator, cavities are formed. Then the slurry pumped from the suction end move along the cavities formed and gets discharged. These pumps are reversible, non-clogging, self-priming, and have low NPSHR and low internal velocity.

Our Range Of Slurry Pumps Are High Quality, Super Duty And Incredible Value. And, Of Course, They Come With The Same Great Service Levels You Expect With All Our Products.

Our Sludge & Slurry pump offering is selected to handle a wide variety of applications. Often used when the solids to liquid percentage becomes a little too heavy for a standard drainage pump, with some models available with an agitator unit to aid solids into suspension prior to being pumped away.

Slurry Pumps vs. Water Pumps: Why Do I Need A Slurry Pump?

What distinguishes slurry from other fluid types is the presence of a solid — gravel, copper, or sand — within a liquid. Although, in many cases, that liquid is water, a slurry may contain solvents, like acids, alcohols, or petroleum. Those non-water components, whether solids or solvents, make slurry pumps necessary.

In contrast to water pumps’ narrow and often inexpensive components, large replaceable slurry pump parts are made of sturdy, often specialized materials. These parts allow pumps to move nearly any type of solid within a slurry efficiently and safely. Water pumps, on the other hand, lack the hydraulic capacity to move solid particles and are unable to withstand the particle abrasion and chemical corrosion that slurries can cause.

Slurry pumps can withstand extensive wear due to characteristics such as: a large impeller diameter, shafts, bearings, and internal passageways as well as heavy-duty construction. On an industrial level, slurry pump features generate higher upfront and operational costs compared to water pumps. However, only slurry pumps can hydrotransport solid materials efficiently, and the long-term benefits outweigh initial costs.

Slurry pump installations

Wet — In this installation, the slurry pump and drive are fully submersible. This is necessary for certain slurry pump applications, such as underwater operations.

Dry — In this installation, the pump drive and bearings are kept out of the slurry. The wet end — which includes the shell, impeller, hub or suction liner, and shaft sleeve or stuffing box — is free-standing and clear of any surrounding liquid. Slurry pump technicians install most horizontal pumps this way.

Semi-dry — This special arrangement is used for dredging applications with horizontal pumps. Operators flood the wet end and bearings but keep the drive dry. Bearings require special sealing arrangements in this case.
